Why drifting is the whole point in arcade racers
Arcade racers like Nitro Drift League aren't about who holds accelerate the longest. They're about the drift, because the drift feeds your boost, and boost is where lap times actually come from.
The trick is starting your slide a beat earlier than feels natural. Ease into the corner, hold the drift through the apex, and let go on exit for that satisfying boost pop.
Chaining is the next level. Linking drifts across a series of corners builds a huge boost pool, and suddenly you're rocketing down straights everyone else crawls through.
Try the tilt controls too. They felt weird for one race, then completely natural by the third.
